- Despite an 11th-hour protest by students, the University of Washington has approved a 20% tuition hike for in-state students. The increase, which is the largest in the school's history, will allow the University to retain or reinstate classes which were previously on the chopping block, as well as extend open hours.
- In other UW-ish news, ex-Husky Venoy Overton submitted a 'not guilty' plea to the charge of second-degree promotion of prostitution.
- And finally, the PI reported today that an astonishing 222,500 households and businesses have opted out of receiving the Yellow Pages. Yet, the Yellow Pages continue to fight for their right to pollute your doorstep.
