We're...Honored? Seattle's 'Bad Hair Bandit' Makes it to the FBI's Most Wanted List
Seattlelites get real excited whenever we make the national news, though, more often than not, it's not for the best of reasons. This week was no exception, as our City was once again in the spotlight--this time, for having a bank robber with bad wigs**.
The AP is reporting that the 'Bad Hair Bandit,' who's been robbing banks and looking tore up for about six months now, has finally gotten her fifteen minutes of nation-wide fame. She's been featured on the FBI's Most Wanted List. According a spokesperson from the FBI, she's the first bank robber from the FBI's Seattle division to get a national nod in "many years."
The FBI describes the woman, whose MO includes slipping a note to the teller that states that she is armed, is as such:
The robber is described as a White female in her 30s, 5'5" to 5'7", with a medium to heavy build. She tends to wear a zippered hoodie, eyeglasses, a baseball cap, and some type of wig.
Think you may have a hot tip? Let the FBI know ASAP; as with all "Most Wanted" criminals, there's a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to her arrest.
Good job, frumpy bank robber lady. Way to once again get Seattle noticed for being weird and kind of sad.
**Looking at these photos, there is a distinct possibility that these are not, in fact, wigs. This woman may just have really terrible hair. Her pouty face isn't doing her any favors, either.
