  • While many in the Seattle area are lauding the Councilmember Nick Licata's proposal to give paid sick leave to all workers, not everyone is in favor of the idea. Today, the Chamber of Commerce, whose employees receive "generous paid time off", came out against the proposal, calling it "costly and time consuming."
  • Worried about your car's stereo getting stolen? That may be the least of your concerns. According to the National Insurance Crime Bureau, car theft in the Seattle, Bellevue and Tacoma areas are up by 20% this year.
  • A new initiative, launched by City Attorney Pete Holmes, as well as former US Attorney John McKay and travel guide/pot enthusiast Rick Steves, is aimed at getting marijuana--and not just the medical stuff--legalized in the State of Washington. All in favor, say "aye."
