• The communities of North Juanita, Kingsgate and Finn Hill are gearing up and sending out change of address forms this week--on Wednesday, they'll be merging with Kirkland as part of the annexation which voters passed last year.
• While a far cry from the horrific events in Joplin this week, the State of Washington did manage to sneak in some extreme weather. Napavine saw an actual tornado on Friday, according to the National Weather Service's official statement.
• On one of the highway's busiest weekends, I-90 is proving how dangerous of a stretch it can be. Both a tour bus and a passenger vehicle have been involved in separate accidents this weekend, with a total of three lives lost so far. A memo for everyone coming back from Sasquatch!: DRIVE CAREFULLY.
