- Taking a dump on your clients' yard is not, according to the USPS, a fireable offense. The Pooping Postman of Portland will get to keep his job, according to KOMO.
- Operation and insurance for the proposed tunnel plan may cost as much as three times more than operation and insurance of the exisiting Alaska Way Viaduct, according to preliminary estimates. This figure does not, according to WSDOT, include the necessary retrofitting of the present structure. The additional cost will be covered by tolling.
- A SWAT team responded to a stand-off in Bellevue this morning, which continued into the afternoon. The suspect, who was confirmed to have had a weapon, had barricaded himself in his home, and threatened the police. The man was known to the police, and had had unpleasant interactions in the past.
