Can't Miss It: Monday

Delusionary Darklings: In his review, Seattlest's John Allis described the Satori Group's Fabulous Prizes as "at once complex and economical" and a "gritty and original new work." Concering itself with two men who have literally hidden away from the harsh and disappointing aspects of their lives, they spend their time recreating the pivotal moments in their lives to the way they'd like to remember them. Layered and rich, this promises to be a bracing time at the theater.

Tonight at 8:00 p.m. (play runs through May 30) // The Satori Loft, 619 Western Avenue (4th floor) // $12 - $18, tickets available through Brown Paper Tickets

Non-SIFF Double Feature: If the idea of spending a few hours standing in line and communing in a darkened room with a gaggle of sleep-deprived film geeks seems a little daunting, you could always turn to the friendly little neighborhood independent film house that could to provide beer, food and friendly film fare. The first half of tonight's bill is a classic piece of populist entertainment, Smokey and the Bandit, which is presented in conjunction with Beer Week. For those who are wondering what the two have in common, recall that Smokey's plot is not about Burt Reynolds' bushy moustache, but ostensibly about the Bandit's attempt to illegally deliver beer across state lines. The second half of the bill is part of an ongoing tribute to the classic films of Sidney Lumet, Dog Day Afternoon, which features Al Pacino at his non-hacky best.

Smokey and the Bandit at 7:00P.M.; Dog Day Afternoon at 9:30P.M. // Central Cinema, 1411 21st Avenue // $10

Wave Your Hands In The Air: In the long-term-memory deficient world of hip hop, the fact that an act like Naughty By Nature, who is playing tonight at Showbox at the Market, can come back from near obscurity and tour says something. It can't just be based on nostalgia alone, which makes tonight a must see, because these guys have something to prove. It's gonna be a hip hop party tonight. Which reminds me, if you go, when they tell you to wave your hands in the air, wave your damn hands in the air. And be prepared to move more than just nodding your head. This is good time, dance, party music. Pretend you're on Soul Train or something, just move.

Naughty By Nature, with Jay Barz, J'Mar and Southside Doors at 7:00p.m. // Showbox at the Market, 1426 First Avenue // $25
