Even More Excited for SIFF: Trailer for Miranda July's The Future is Out!

Remember the selfish grumbling in those SIFF picks about how badly I wanted to see a trailer for Miranda July's The Future? Well, it's here! It's finally here!

Everything about this looks charming--the cat paw puppetry, the most endearing rush of mortality possible, the wise, old man who is really "a rock in disguise" (??). Despite a decidedly less ensemble-based cast, it seems, than Me and You and Everyone We Know, The Future seems to similarly playfully bounce between its characters--in this case, to explore the individual neuroses of an artistic couple shaken by their decision to adopt a cat. Plus, that Miranda July cat voiceover? Priceless. I can't wait to see this.

Saturday, May 21 // AMC Pacific Place // $25 (party & film)

Monday, May 23 // SIFF Cinema // $7-8
