Can't Miss It: Monday

This Kills' Blood Pressures

MARRY, BOFF, KILLS: Have you listened to KEXP at any point in the last two weeks? Good, then we won't bother explaining to you who the Kills are, because you've undoubtedly heard at least three tracks from this two-person gloriously-garage-y group's explosively awesome fourth album, Blood Pressures. The show is sold out, but it's well worth trying to find tickets for it. And if you haven't been tuned it? You should go anyway, so you can pretend you were paying attention.
The Kills, Cold Cave, the Entrance Band // Showbox at the Market: 1426 First Ave // 7 p.m. // SOLD OUT

ARC FACTORY: Still a member of the sub-21 set? There's an all-ages rock show for you, too. The members of Joan of Arc may actually be the hardest working dudes in show business. Each guy in the band is currently working with at least two other groups, and singer Tim Kinsella has been the frontman since Joan of Arc's founding in 1995. Decades in the making, the present version of this long-running band is a must-see.
Joan of Arc, Airways and Themes // The Vera Project: 305 Harrison Street //7:30 p.m. // $11 //

BLESS THE RAINS DOWN IN AFRICA: As part of their "Fact Maverick: Three Films From Lionel Rogosin" series, tonight, Northwest Film Forum is presenting Come Back, Africa, a part-fiction, part-documentary examination of the cruelty and violence of Apartheid. Eye-opening, intimate and emotional, Come Back, Africa is a classic docudrama.
Come Back, Africa // Northwest Film Forum: 1515 12th Ave // 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. // $6 - $9
