Do You Need a Free Toilet? SPU Has One For You.
Between soaring gas prices and inflating grocery prices, everyone's feeling the pinch. Add in the rising cost of utilities like water, sewer and waste disposal, and low-income families are looking for any way to save. Seattle Public Utilities has a new option for them.
According to SPU, we're all flushing our money away if we're not using water-saving toilets. So, they're offering free, efficient toilets to low-income families. They've also got water-saving shower-heads and faucet aerators and, depending on the family's needs and means, may even lend a hand with installation.
Not low-income, but looking to replace your porcelain waste-machine? SPU is also offering a $30 credit to any home owner who purchases a high-efficiency fixture.
