Easter is right around the corner and this Sunday, folks will be brunching all over town. And regardless of your religious leanings, we suggest you partake in it. Our city's restaurants have prepared for the brunch rush, with special menus and events to welcome you. So instead of actually talking to your friends and family, you can just stuff your face with them. Which we're okay with.

Our friends over at Seattle Metropolitan have done a comprehensive list of restaurants that have Easter specials. If you're still scrambling at this stage for plans, filter through those that sound good. And consider factors such as; group size, type of food you think the group would like, the space (do you want a view? ease of parking? etc.), most of all, a place that your out of town uncle wouldn't complain about.

Now the caveat; almost all of the places have probably had all of their reservations booked. You'll have to do some legwork and call around to your perspectives to see what's available. Also, be mindful of the place that you do end up with and be upfront with the number in your party. If it's a small place, changing your reservation from a party of eight to a party of six, this makes a big difference. Give them a heads up if your plans change.

Here's my advice; if you can't get into a place you'd prefer. Make Easter active, go visit a farmer's market and snack on things there. Visit Pike Place Market and grab bites to eat along the way. Go out for pho. Heck, host an informal brunch. Get some bagels, ham, and fry up some eggs. Have some orange juice on hand. Sparkling wine? Sure! If this is your route, stop by Phinney's picnic for some wine as they are having their Thursday wine tasting later tonight featuring wines to go with Easter brunch.

Whatever you do, have a great time with your families and friends. And remember why we celebrate Easter; to eat chocolate and find hard-boiled eggs that have been pigment-dyed.
