We got robbed of our space-age dreams (still not over it, NASA,) but at least we didn't actually get robbed. Today's news: cheaters, liars, and thieves.
- A former Microsoft employee is being charge with three counts of wire fraud. Charging documents, which were unsealed today, allege that the employee defrauded vendors and the company for more than $450,000. [Seattle Times]
- In other cheating news, state investigators have found that fraudulent unemployment checks in 2010 were up 56% from the previous year. Those involved with the investigation say that they've identified 7,000 individuals who lied to get benefits, forged checks, or cashed single checks multiple times. [Seattle PI]
- And finally, a Grapevine pair is suspected of thieving knives, swords and other valuables, from the home of a Shelton man. The victim "says the stolen items included 76 guns, various swords, knives, ...and even a Matchbox/Hot Wheels collection" was valued at over $200,000. [KOMO]
