Woodland Park Zoo Update: Wolf Welcome Wagon!

Wolves.JPG

Ah-OOOO! A new pack of wolves has descended upon the City of Seattle. As part of their efforts to educate the public about conservation and endangered creatures, the Woodland Park Zoo has brought four one-year-old gray wolves to live in the award-winning Northern Tail exhibit.

We at Seattlest love wolves. So many killer songs, werewolf myths, t-shirts. These fierce creatures are known to turn any normal teenager’s life into an angst-ridden nightmare at the dawn of a full moon. Their howls permeate Halloween festivities. Their fangs have terrified filmgoers for decades. To show our appreciation and excitement for the arrival of this pack, we’ve made a list of the best things about and references to wolves. Enjoy!

You can check out some wolves in person at the Woodland Park Zoo, which is open from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm daily through April 30. Just don’t let ‘em bite you!
