Stoned and Attractive: Moon Duo at The Funhouse

We're excited to announce that we'll be seeing our favorite drone-y, psyched out band, Moon Duo, at the Fun House tomorrow evening.

We're even more tickled to announce that the Young Prisms will be playing with them, which solidifies our belief that the crowd will consist, in its entirety, of stoned and attractive people in their 20's.

Moon Duo members Erik Ripley Johnson (of Wooden Shjips) and fellow San Franciscan Sanane Yamanda have created consistently excellent music since their formation in early 2009. Their latest release, Mazes, is probably our favorite release of 2011 thus far. Full of well-crafted repetition with a perfect blend of distortion and melody, we're extremely excited to see it live.

We've had fun at every Young Prisms show we've been to, which has been reasonably frequent as they seem to hit up our city at every three months or so. We're expecting the same fuzzy feelings that they seem to be getting pretty good at. Here's to a night of bliss-filled dreaminess!
