- Disney opts to dock in Seattle, rather than Vancouver, in 2012. The mega-company named Seattle the new home port for their Alaska cruise line--just in time for Vancouver's birthday. [Seattle PI]

- Two men were charged with multiple counts of securities fraud today, for allegedly running a Ponzi scheme on several elderly area residents.The men, who met their victims at church, allegedly stole over $3.5 million dollars over the course of five years. [KOMO]
- Skiing in areas that are clearly marked as closed is one step closer to becoming a misdemeanor; the House passed a bill today, which supporters say will decrease the risk of avalanches. The bill will return to the Senate for further approval. [Seattle Times]
- More information was made available today, regarding the tragic murder-suicide of a Spanaway couple and their 6-year-old child, Jordan. The M.E. released the cause of death of the child, whose body was recovered this morning; Jordan was found to be asphyxiated when a plastic bag was placed over his head. There was also evidence of additional abuse. [KIRO]
