Putting Your Studio to Shame--Apartment Therapy in Seattle

Back in the pre-blogging Dark Ages, the only way to preview the homes of exceptionally tasteful people was to attend dinner parties, or possibly to crash an open-house. But fortunately for the voyeuristic (and masochistic) among us, there's Apartment Therapy, a blog featuring gorgeous photos of other people's houses that are inevitably much cuter than ours. Bright, spacious, and impeccably organized, the homes featured on Apartment Therapy are both inspiring and crushing. Who are these people? And how do they do that?

Look at these photos. Just look at them. The wide angle. The artfully-framed posters, that haven't been near a glob of Sticky-Tack in their lives. The uncluttered floors and surfaces. It's inhumane. And amazing.

Did we mention that these heart-breakingly sweet set-ups are in Seattle? apttherapy3.jpg

Since its birth, Apartment Therapy's coverage of Seattle was few and far between, mostly because it doesn't have a Seattle-specific site, but we're speculating that there's one on the way. In the last few weeks, several enviously adorable abodes from our fine city have been featured. There was also a (very complicated and time-consuming) job posting for a Seattle-area blogger, though that has recently been removed.

This welcome development hasn't gone unnoticed--the eagle-eyed bloggers at UrbnLivn picked up a few of AT's recent local nods.

Could Seattle's interiorly-inclined be edging closer to their place in the sun? Might the 206 be represented with its very own tab on AT's home page?

We don't actually know, but our fingers are crossed.
