If you've been outside today (you haven't yet? Do so now. Really. Now.), you've noticed that it is, it seems, finally spring. And while it may be a little too early to retire your boots and scarves, it is certainly not too early to begin filling in your calendar with upcoming spring fashion events. Naturally, we'll be keeping you updated as more get scheduled, but here are a few to get you started:

  • Retail in the World of E-Commerce: Fashion Edition; Brought to you by the good folks of the Fashion Group International, this panel will discuss trends in the world of e-commerce, social media strategies and marketing options for designers, bloggers and merchants. This event will be packed with ultra-professionals, so think of it more as an educational meet-and-greet, and less of a raucous night out.
  • Wednesday, 7:00 p.m. // Spitfire, 2219 4th Ave // $20 for FGI members, $25 for non-members // Tickets at the door, or online at http://seattle.fgi.org/

  • Vim Beget Trunk Show at Blackbird; Vim Beget, the new jewelry and leathergoods collection for men and women created by Billy Bartels, will debut at Blackbird on Thursday. This is a great opportunity to get a look at what else Blackbird may be stocking for spring -- so if your tax return isn't already spoken for, you may want to sit on it a little longer. Also, we've been promised that there will be cocktails.
  • Thursday, 7:00 p.m. // Blackbird, 5410 22nd Ave Northwest // Free

  • Worn Out, the Stranger's First Annual Fashion Show; A bold gesture by Seattle's "Only Newspaper," Worn Out's runway show will feature designs by some of the city's freshest names, including pun(c)tuation by Tarboo, Stella Love, Like A Rockstar and Seattlest's own Cameron Levin. The event also boasts partnerships with Vain, vitaminwater™ and Crossroads Trading Company.
  • Thursday, April 8, 7:00 p.m. // ACT, 700 Union St // $20 through the Stranger's ticketing office

  • Fashion Crash!; Tilted Thunder Rail Birds, a local, all-female, banked track roller derby league, are putting on a team fashion show, debuting team names and new uniforms. Summary: The Syndicate. Roller derby. Belltown. If you've been looking for boozy, female-empowered fashion, this is probably your bag.
  • Saturday, April 9, 6:00 p.m. // The Syndicate, 2800 First Avenue // $5 - $8 through Brown Paper Tickets

    And finally...

  • Thaw Annual Spring Fashion Show; The ultimate spring fashion event, Thaw is highly anticipated and, bonus, proceeds benefit the Huntington's Disease Society of America. Thaw features a runway show, a live auction, and a whole bunch of fun. Tickets go on sale on Thursday. You want to go to this one. Really.
  • Thursday, May 5 - Time TBD // 1531 Utah Ave S // $75+ through Brown Paper Tickets, on sale Thursday.
