Kiss Me I'm Wasted: A Quick St. Pat's Guide to Seattle's Irish Pubs

With any luck o' the Irish, tonight you'll stay home with corned beef, make yourself some Drunk Irish Beer Bread, and watch your fave Irish flick and kiss on your favorite lad or lass. St. Patrick's Day is often a green-beer amateur-hour evening of pinching, singing, Guinness and Jameson. A recipe for a good time, bad decisions and and even worse hangover, it's the one day of the year where everyone's Irish. Go get your sham-rocks off.

Since literally every Irish bar in town will be celebrating like the ground was littered with pots of gold, the following is a snapshot of the lay of the green in our city. If you think we missed one, share it in the comments.

Erin Go Bragh!

Downtown:

The Owl N' Thistle: The old standby.
Fado They've been prefunking for this drunkenest of days all week. Doors opened at 7 a.m. for a traditional Irish breakfast and the bar will be celebrating 'til closing time.
Kell's: They open at 10, music scheduled all day, "whiskey galore".
The Blarney Stone: At 10:30 p.m. there will be bagpipes. Firefighter bagpipes.

Belltown:

Paddy Coyne's: Breakfast and drinking begin at 8:30 at all three locations.

Pioneer Square

Collins Pub: Short of specifics. Long on drinks.

Magnolia:

Mulleady's: For the more adult reveler, three seatings of a fancy Irish three-course meals.RSVPs strongly suggested.

West Seattle:

The Celtic Swell: Their website is mysteriously encrypted, but the view is great and they have soda bread.
The Cask: This mellow beer and wine-focused hang is a self-described "sanctuary where people meet and mingle". Nothing like an extended St. patty's Day happy hour to facilitate both meeting and mingling.

Capitol Hill:

Clever Dunne's: Irish beers on tap, pub food fare, darts. That's all you need.

Wallingford:

Murphy's Bar: Today is just the kick-off to a weekend of Irish pride. Pipes and drums at 8:30 tonight. They open at 10 a.m.

University District:

Finn MacCools: HQ for the St. Fratrick's Day crowd.

Fremont:

The Dubliner: The Facebook promises 'lots of beer'. The three magic words.

Eastlake:

London Loves at the Lo Fi Performance Gallery is hosting a "Psychedelic St. Pat's Day" where costumes and make-up are strongly encouraged. The Lo Fi tends to not disappoint and this Seattlest would consider navigating St. Patty's here.

Greenwood:

The Ould Triangle: 21 beers on tap. Outdoor smoking patio. Famous bathroom graffiti.

Queen Anne:

T.S. McHugh's: They open at 8:30 for breakfast. There will be Irish dancing, which is the Lordiest of all dances.

Ballard:

Conor Bryne Pub:They open at noon and have live music all day and night long.
Molly Maguires: Nothing special on the calendar, but you know it'll be jumping.
The Old Pequilar: Whiskey and beer. Amen.
The Counter: Totally family friendly--$3 green milkshakes and beer.

The pot of gold at the end of this drunken rainbow? Scientist think they finally discovered the cure for the common hangover. It's coffee and aspirin.
