Freeattlest Ticket Giveaway: EMP Sound Off!
We've finally come to the end. This Saturday brings the Finals of the 10th Annual EMP Sound-Off! Competition. Over the last month, we've previewed all 12 finalists in preparation for this: four contesting bands enter, one emerges victorious!
Let's meet the finalists! Hailing from right here in Seattle, sound the kettle drums for Tomten and Fit for Hounds! Blast a fanfare for Renton kittens Northern Departure! And present colors for The Oh Wells, here all the way from Vancouver, BC.
These four bands will be judged by Seattle Music Commission Chair Ben London, Sound Off! alumni Daniel Anderson, London Bridge Studio owner Jonathan Plum, Imaginary Girl Chris Estey, Sportin' Life Records President DeVon Manier, and Head Like a Kite drummer Trent Moorman for a rich bag of prizes, including a performance slot at Bumbershoot 2011, a live on-air performance on 107.7 The End’s The Young and the Restless, gear from KORG, and studio time. As you might expect, competition will be fierce, and we'd like you to have front row seats!
Everyone who comments on this post will be entered to win two tickets for Saturday's Final. We will randomly select the name at noon tomorrow (3/5), so make sure you've commented before then. Include an active email in your comment, or else we will have no way to contact you. And that would make us sad, because that means someone else is going to take your tickets. Good luck!
