A&E Odds 'n Ends
- What's been going on lately with Intiman Theatre's financial troubles, you ask? According to the site's weekly update (which doesn't seem to be all that recent), Intiman has "six weeks" left to achieve the $400,000 needed to meet their March 31 fundraising benchmark.
- Hey grumpy Mr. Banks-es, lighten up and grab some tickets to Disney's Mary Poppins musical, which will be running for three weeks at the Paramount in May. Billed as "Seattle’s most eagerly awaited stage production", this stage musical success is set to open on May 29. Tickets $21.50. Available online, by calling 877-STG-4TIX (784-4849) or in person at The Paramount Theatre Box Office (Monday through Friday, 10am to 6pm).
- Queen of the Sun, which screened at SIFF last year, is showing at NWFF March 4-10. In previews, the film drew local scorn for being too hippy; it's actually a fascinating, emotional look at industrial agriculture and its toll on Mother Nature.
