Bathe in the music of BATHS at Chop Suey
One man army of mellow beats, BATHS, headlines an all-ages show at Chop Suey this Tuesday night. We’ve been curious to see him live ever since he sold out the Sunset Tavern in October. His remixes transport you from your office cubical to another state of mind, an ability showcased in his previous release, Low End Theory Podcast. However the majority of his music is original and of his own making. As for his unique name, BATHS says while he is taking a bath he can center himself and wash off the rest of the day. There is no doubt that his recorded music definitely does that, and this weekend is time to experience it for yourself.
Starting out the evening, Braids will be taking the stage setting the tempo for the rest of the night. The Canadian quartet has been collaborating since high school and developed a strong hold on experimental rock. They play with remixing audio throughout their music. They are touring in support of their debut album, Native Speaker, which was just hit the shelves on January 18th. We’re crossing our fingers that they’ll have the vinyl for sale at the show, ‘cause we’re nerds like that.
