Not Cool: Someone Stole Mayor McGinn's Wife's Bike

Bike theft is unfortunately common. It's happened to all of us, and it's never a good feeling. And with the prevalence of this random act of suck, it was only a matter of time until Seattle's crappy bicycle-boosters stole from the wrong guy. Or in today's case, the wrong guy's angry wife.

Today, Mayor McGinn rode his wife's bike to work. How he got home? No one knows. Because the bike was stolen. Stolen!

Who tipped us off to this incredible news event? Not the 24-hour news cycle. Not the "lamestream" media (tee-hee.) No! This breaking development was brought to our attention by... the Mayor's Twitter feed:

Nice use of social media, Mayor. We hope your wife's bike is returned soon, or that you can buy her a way nicer one as an apology gift (or take this one, which otherwise would go to a needy kid).

And a word to any bike thieves* who may be reading this:

Peg is pissed. You've been warned.

*Also, stop stealing out bikes, you jerks. We need them to get around.
