Look Up! In a Living Room With The Lonely Forest

The Lonely Forest has been around for a while now. You may or may not have heard about them yet, but you will. They started out in Anacortes in 2005 and won the EMP SoundOFF! competition in 2006 (by the way, check out Tyson's excellent coverage of this year's battle).

This weekend, we were lucky enough to be invited to a listening party in Queen Anne for their upcoming release Arrows. If you were in the neighborhood, you may have noticed a few businesses without electricity. That kind of affected the ability to use a stereo system in the house where we were supposed to hear the record. The little hiccup turned into an amazing opportunity for everyone there when the band decided to play it acoustically instead. We managed to capture some photos as well as video of the cozy acoustic set. They are appearing at the Vera Project on March 3rd with a lineup all hailing from Anacortes and we highly recommend you head out to see it.
