This or That: Damien Jurado
Here at Seattlest Music we love to know everything we can about our favorite local musicians. Does that make us stalkers? Perhaps. We'd like to think of it as adoring from afar. Luckily, most of the members of the Seattle music scene are extremely kind individuals and love being involved however they can. We decided to help you guys get to know these wonderful people through a quickie "interview" of sorts. After compiling a list of Seattle "rivalries" it was sent off to some of our favorite artists. We put no constraints on how they choose or respond, so who knows what you're going to get? Replies have been pouring in, so it's time to share with you! Our first installment of This or That is with Damien Jurado. He is an incredible musician with a great reputation in Seattle and beyond. With several mind-blowing shows in the last year under his belt, he's back in the studio with a vengeance. Recording nine songs in one day over this last weekend he knocked out over half of the entire album. He's become an inspiration to many budding musicians in this town setting the standard for life as a musician (while still paying the bills). We can't wait to hear what he's got in store for us.
