Can't Miss It: Monday

maria_bamford_valentines.jpg LAUGH LOVERS BALL: Seeing a comedy show on Valentine's Day at first seemed a little campy. Although, I guess anything on Valentine's day just seems kind of campy. But guess what? It's MARIA BAMFORD! She's with a bunch of people we don't really know, but that's okay. If your valentine doesn't think she rules, you need a new valentine.

6:00 p.m. & 8:30 p.m. // Central Cinema // $27.50-$48

1990S ROMANCE: Almost every single nice restaurant in town seems to have live music tonight. Most of it's got to be at least a tiny bit ridiculous, right? So why not give this a whirl: Valentine's Day 1990's Night at Nectar, with DJ Moynilectric, Bgeezy, and guests. Why have a mandolin in your face when you can have Marky Mark blasting instesad?

8:00 p.m. // Neumos // $3

LOVE: SLIGHTLY TWISTED: what better way to shake of the romantic cliche vibe than with a Gondry Kauffman sandwich? Ever wanted to remove an entire relationship from your head? Or your heart? Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is a lovely jaunt explores just that, and is a nice break from red rose overload.

9:30 p.m. // Central Cinema // $8
