Poll: Can Fanny Packs make a Fanny Comeback?

Let me begin by letting you all know, darling readers, that I have been pushing for a resurgence in fanny packs for some time. And I haven't been alone - both The Frisky, Stylist, and even the New York Times have both made valiant efforts in the last four or five years.

So, you can imagine my delight when the obviously fashion-forward Wall Street Journal and Time, both reported that Diane von Furstenberg carries what is being called a "hands-free bag."

Some people, though, are not so thrilled. Too Beautiful to Live's Jen Andrews called to "shut it down," because "Yes, I understand how handy they are, but it didn't matter. I'm still not adding bulk to my belly section so that I don't have to carry a purse."

Which is a valid point. However, I would argue that:

a.) You don't have to wear a stupid American Apparel one and look like a big douche like this:

b.) Some are super-slim and cute, like the DVF one listed above.*

c.) Everyone, even the fanny pack, deserves a second chance.

d.) Leaving your phone on the seat of the bus is the Worst. Thing. Ever.

e.) Riding your bike with your shoulder-purse on the handlebars is unsafe and not cute.

So, with all of that in mind, please take a moment to answer the following (critical!!!) poll about whether the fanny pack can truly make a comeback.

Fanny pack lobbyists and concerned citizens everywhere thank you.

*This fanny pack is, however, made of leather, which I do not approve of. If someone could please make a beautiful, cruelty-free fanny pack for me, that would be wonderful.
