Sound-off! An Underage Battle: Young Pacific

When Young Pacific takes the stage this Saturday at the first round of EMP's Sound Off! competition, don't be surprised if the room gets very quiet and the tension--always a subtle undercurrent at events like these--becomes a palpable humidity. It will be the moment everyone knows Canada is in the HOUSE.

From Coquitlam, BC, Y.Pac write songs that bounce around the room and over the border, tunes that slink through international waters to shadowy ports, and excalamatory anthems of love and pride. As one of only two bands from our Northerly neighbor in this competition, we expect hard-fought chops and some of that charming civility we've come to love over the years.

Young Pacific will grapple Ambulance, Northern Departure, and Tomten this Saturday at the first round of the 10th Annual EMP Sound-Off! Competition. May the best North American win.
