The 50 States of Good Beer

Oh, state maps. Some are fun, others really stupid. And yet we just...can't...stop...posting them.

The latest comes from GOOD blog, in the form of a graphically delightful depiction of the "most awesome, best-tasting, sustainably brewed, independently owned,community-oriented craft beer" brewed in each state.

Washington's pick, the excellent Epic Ales, is moderately surprising only because the state has so many other fearsome contenders. Some choices seem a little dull, like Full Sail for Oregon, or New Belgium for Colorado. Craft beer drinkers in Idaho--sucks to be you.

Head over to GOOD for a much larger version of the map.

  • soooo I'm pretty sure what they're showing for WA's Epic is actually New Zealand's Epic (http://www.facebook.com/epicbe.... Oops, Good!

I was in NZ a few months ago and drank Epic there - it was delicious, but definitely not local to Washington.
