Over here at Seattlest we are keeping close tabs on the explosion of dining in South Lake Union. The newest tenant we are most excited about: restaurant mogul Tom Douglas. Earlier this week we hustled down to the recently opened Westlake Serious Pie location and Dahlia Workshop for insanely delicious breakfast sammies.

However Douglas is far from finished with his plans for the neighborhood. Today we discovered our friends at South Lake Union updated their website with this fun little news gem--the new pub in Tom's upcoming Terry Avenue Building project will be called Brave Horse Tavern. It will be joined by Ting Momo, a Tibetan style dumpling house and an Italian pasta house (yet to be named) in the historic brick building on Terry Avenue North between Thomas and Harrison streets.

Nancy Leson reports the tavern will be his most casual venture to date, included in the plans are a pretzel bar, TV screens and a few arcade type games. Seattlest really does hope that means shuffleboard. We're thinking Amazonians and SLU residents will be flocking to the Brave Horse Tavern for post work drinks and grub.
