Don Younger, the owner of the Horse Brass pub in Portland, passed away early Monday morning from complications triggered by slipping and breaking his shoulder at home last week.Younger was part of a group of bar owners, including Matt Bonney and Matt VandenBerghe of Brouwer’s, who called themselves the Publican National Committee. Seattle Beer News posted an interview with Younger from back in 2001. We've spent many a late night at the Horse Brass over the years and are thankful for the legacy that Younger leaves behind.
