Vera's tenth anniversary marks a major milestone for Seattle: the city has gone from a largely hostile environment for youth-driven music to a leading innovator in the field of all-ages music programming, and Vera has been a driving force in this cultural shift. Vera continues to serve its mission to to foster a participatory creative culture through popular music concerts, arts programs, experiential learning and volunteer opportunities for all ages, especially young people, and is reaching more people than ever before. Vera served over 55,000 people in 2010, and young people are constantly finding new ways to lead at Vera, from developing new program partnerships to shaping Vera's sponsorships and governance. Here's to another strong decade of all-ages music and art in Seattle!
