Martin Luther King Day Activities
Monday is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, a federal holiday and kind-of-a-big-deal here in Seattle since our county was (eventually) named for him.
Seattle Center has activities and the MLK Celebration Committee has a march and rally planned to remember King and his legacy. Check out the schedule of morning workshops as well.
We like this whole idea of marking the holiday with a day of service. Also, it makes those of us who are working on Monday feel better to know that people who have the day off are at least spending it toiling away and not eating teriyaki in their pajamas.
