SnOverreaction: Overnight Snow; Morning Slush

After the initial call for alarm dwindled, we got an official edict to go home early, though flakes didn't start falling 'til around 6 p.m. The several inches of accumulation happened fast, leaving a narrow nighttime window for snow-related capers (as evidenced by the above photo from Seattlest's own Suzi Pratt). Over in Tukwila, a car went over an embankment, flipped and landed upside-down on the light rail tracks.

Then, indeed, the rains came and this morning most of the region is waking up to slush. It's not treacherous--just inconvenient.
