Macklemore's New Music Video, "My Oh My"

Seattle hip-hop emcee Macklemore has been on fire lately, and this may very well be his year to shine. Just last week, Macklemore, whose real name is Ben Haggerty, did the unthinkable by selling out his February 25th headlining show at the Showbox during ticket presales. A second show was then added, and that too sold out within days.

Just before Christmas last month, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis recorded "My Oh My," a tribute song to the former "voice of the Mariners," the late Dave Niehaus, whose memorial was held at Safeco Field last month. The song received a huge amount of buzz from both fans and the media alike. Recently, Macklemore, Ryan Lewis, and director Jason Koenig spent sleepless nights making a music video for the song, which has just been released to the public. Compared to the recently buzzed about Seahawks anthem, this tributary song is full of nostalgia in both words and images.
