Countdown to 2011: Morgen's Sexiest Local Musicians of 2010
Seattlest will be counting down to 2011 with a series of posts on our highlights of this year and what we're looking forward to in the next. Got a list to suggest? Send it our way. See the entire series here.
That's right, I'm doing it. I'm debasing myself and all local musicians. I've created a top ten hottest musicians of Seattle list and I don't care. I figure, if nothing else, it will bring on a lot of conversation. So bring it on if you think I'm wrong, but cite who you think should be on here or you're just being picky. P.S. This was entirely too difficult to choose, so I wasn't even going to try to make it in order of hotness; the numbers are pretty arbitrary.

4. Without a doubt, the big winner in the local music scene this year is The Head and the Heart. Formed at Conor Byrne open mic, played and practiced for little over 6 months before they gained a huge local following, and sign with Sub Pop all within a year. If you've noticed, they're all really damn good looking too. Josiah, Jon, Charity, Tyler, Chris, and Kenny are all included on this list point.
5. Bryan John Appleby - Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist: Newcomer to the Seattle music scene. soundonthesound.com introduced me to Mr. Applebee at one of their shows at CCT, and their impeccable taste in music never disappoints. He's a fantastic musician and I had googly eyes for him as soon as he stepped out on stage.

7. McKenzie Mercer and Troy Nelson - Lead Singers/Guitarist for The Young Evils: Their music is super fun and it wouldn't have half the stage presence without the sweetness between McKenzie and Troy. They're hot individuals and friggin adorable together.
Marvin Lazer
John Roderick
Rik Rude
Honorable Mentions
Colin Meloy and Ben Gibbard - It has to be said. These two guys are the epitome of hipster cuteness. The purposely tousled hair just a little bit longer than the typical male haircut, plaid/flannel shirt, adorable grins. I would have put them somewhere on the list but I felt like that was a cop-out. They're nationally known so I thought i'd keep the main list to Pacific NW indie bands and musicians.
