Shit's Going to Get Trippy: Tame Impala, Stardeath and White Dwarfs at Neumos
We're looking forward to starting our weekend off on the right track with the help of the best band that's come out of Australia since Nick Cave: dreamy psych rockers Tame Impala.
Inner Speaker, which came out in late May, is 53 minutes and 14 seconds of soaring stoner rock, but not the embarrassing kind--they've successfully creeped onto many a 'Best of 2010' list, not to mention being awarded Album of The Year by Australia's J-Award, which we imagine is a pretty big deal.
To complement the evening, Oklahoma's Stardeath and White Dwarfs- lead by none other than the nephew of Wayne Coyne (genius lead singer of the Flaming Lips) are starting off the night. Dripping with a freakiness that must run in the family, Stardeath provides a spacey pop sound that we're stoked to hear live. Tempted? Check out this video of Tame Impala's latest single, 'Why Won't You Make Up Your Mind,' which has us missing summer something awful. Don't miss the chance to hear it all, tonight.
