Stornoway + The Head and the Heart = Young Talent Overload at the Croc Tonight

In addition to a predictably rowdy night with Les Savy Fav on Sunday, charitable (and predictably) jammy evenings with Dave Matthews, we’re still smiling from last night’s stellar Deck the Hall Ball show-stealing performances by The Black Keys and unexpectedly great blast from the past Cake. (Stay tuned for Morgen's Deck the Hall Ball recap.)
With all this activity in recent memory, tonight’s Croc lineup might just be the perfect chaser to what has been the straight musical rush of the past few days.
While the harmonies of Oxford’s Stornoway and local favorites The Head and the Heart will undoubtedly be as close to pitch perfect as any live performance will allow, the excitement that accompanies tonight’s show is high to say the least. Bringing to mind the feeling the town had just as favorite bearded sons Fleet Foxes were getting signed to Sub Pop, there’s so much anticipation around The Head and the Heart that the musical community at large seems ready to burst.
We’re expecting big things tonight and would go as far as predicting an announcement (that will bring some closure to the intense interest from the nation’s labels over the past weeks) in the very near future.
