Sunday Show Suggestion, Les Savy Fav at Neumos Tonight

les_savy.jpg Searching for something fun to do on this chilly Sunday night? Look no further than Capital Hill, for Neumos has a hell of a show waiting for you tonight. Les Savy Fav, an interesting mix of rock, grunge, punk, and something else, will get your blood pumping. They've been together since '95 when their sound was harder and much more underground. Since then they've lost a few band members and gained a few more adding a less abrasive tone. Older fans aren't deterred, but the change (which happened around 2007 after their year-plus hiatus) eased them into a bigger fan-base. It doesn't hurt that they've got a lot of band-based fans as well with their name showing up in lyrics here and there. Begging the question, "Who is this Les Savy Fav anyway?"

Well, they're a five-piece "... pirates in biplanes, doctors in triage, bonfires on oil rigs with magnets and coils."; at least according to their personal account. With on stage hijinks like kissing fans and costume changes, they're bound to please. We're looking forward to the craziness, so check back for photographic evidence. The openers for tonights show are locals Absolute Monarchs and Steel Tigers of Death.
