Use your Brain, Brawn and a Smart Phone for Saturday’s Verizon Urban Challenge

Having a tough time finding a Canlis menu? Grab a partner and take on another promotion-style contest: Verizon's Urban Challenge. On Saturday 50 teams will race through our fair city, on foot or by transit, to complete 12 mental and physical challenges. Each duo will be armed with an HTC Incredible smart phone by way of assistance (no, you don't get to keep it). At stake are cash prizes and, no surprise, a brand new HTC Incredible.

Comfortable dress is strongly encouraged, as are Halloween costumes, as teams race against the clock. A live leader board will be on site so invite your friends, family and the weird guy down the hall to cheer you on as they track your progress. Make sure you've got cell numbers for a few of your smarter friends on hand. Contest rules encourage you to "seek help at all costs by any means necessary."

Members of the top three teams will each receive a HTC Merge device and $125 Verizon Wireless gift card. The team that comes in first will also walk away with $3,000 cash. Second prize receives $1,500 and third place wins $500. Space is limited so register now to reserve your spot for the Verizon Urban Challenge.

Saturday, 8 a.m. (check in) 10 a.m. (start) // Center Square at Seattle Center, 305 Harrison Street, Seattle, WA 98109 // FREE (pre-registration is required)
