Tonight: Drink Liquor, Debate Liquor
Have you been running initiatives 1100 and 1105 through your head all month only to have them seem more convoluted, even after Seattlest's handy guide? Are you holding off on sending in that ballot until you hear a moderated, no-holds-barred throwdown between representatives of both sides--preferrably in a bar?
Well, you're in luck. Thanks to The Stranger, Washington Bus and the Seattle Music and Nightlife Association, for exactly zero dollars you can watch representatives from the "no" sides of both initiatives (including State Rep. Brendan Williams and representatives of liquor store workers, Protect Our Communities and the Washington Brewer's Guild) duke it out with proponents of the initiatives (including the president of Seattle Nightlife and Music Association, the owner of all the El Gauchos and representatives of both initiatives' campaigns). Moderating the debate are Toby from Washington Bus and Dominic Holden from The Stranger.
