Tonight, Tonight: The Drums, Surfer Blood at Neumos

We’ve been talking about Surfer Blood since we saw them continuously slay at every show we saw them perform at during Bumbershoot weekend. If our adoration wasn't blatant enough, let it be known that we took every chance we could get to see them that weekend, and lucky for us, there were a few opportunities: At the KEXP lounge, at their show on the Broad St. stage, and as they headlined one of the Bumber after parties at the Hard Rock.
Considering that it's been less than a month, a pretty significant list of exciting things has changed since we saw them last- they've signed to Warner Brothers, came out with a new video, and are playing a fresh set of dates with kindred washed up, surf wavers The Drums, who have similarly caught our attention lately with an infectious blend of songs we're stoked to hear live--we have a hunch that the bands will compliment one another nicely.

We can't recommend a better way to kick the Monday night blues. We hope to see you there!
