The Long Winters' Roderick To Rock The Triple Door Tonight
Barsuk Records has long boasted one of the most impressive rosters of lyricists the world over. As the tireless champions of our fine city that we are, long ago we became enamored with all things BR as the label and a great portion of the musical wordsmiths call Seattle home. As such, we always look to take any opportunity to see Barsuk talent when they’re out and about in our local haunts which as you might expect, happens quite frequently as these fine folks are our neighbors after all.
While we’d recommend listening to any and all musicians on the label; there’s an upper echelon that we wholeheartedly endorse. Squarely at the top of said list sits The Long Winters mastermind John Roderick, who as luck will have it will be finishing up his extended summer stint (3 songs of 3 months) at the Triple Door tonight. Roderick pens some of the best songs about heartache laced with humor that our ears have ever heard. To top it off, he’s one of the best entertaining storytellers who is sure to have the crowd eating out of his hand by the night’s end. If the limited ticket situation allows, do yourself a favor and head to The Triple Door tonight. Goldfinch will open.
