School of Rock Students Pay Homage to Jimi, Jim and Janis Saturday

jim.jpg Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin and of course, Seattle’s own Jimi Hendrix are among the most influential artists in rock history. This Saturday, students from the School of Rock will pay tribute to these legendary musicians with a rockin’ all-ages event at Nectar Lounge. Held on the 40th anniversary of Hendrix’s untimely passing, these inspired performances will serve as a celebration of his life and legacy.

Students age 7-18 come to the School of Rock to channel their inner rock star. With private lessons in guitar, bass, keyboards, drums and vocals; this is the nation’s premier performance-based rock music program. If you enjoy Saturday’s tribute (as we expect you will) be sure to check out future School of Rock performances including The Best of Southern Rock, September 19 at Tractor Tavern and KISS (complete with make-up) September 26 at El Corazon.
