Float a Rubber Duck to Benefit Memorial for Slain Officer Timothy Brenton

Seattle police officer Timothy Brenton was tragically killed on October 31, 2009. As part of a $25,000 fundraising effort to build a memorial in his memory, BluWater Bistro is organizing a rubber duck race this weekend.

You can support these efforts by purchasing a $5 rubber duck at any BluWater Bistro location through Sept. 11.

Grab your ducks and stop by BluWater's Leshi location at noon on Saturday to compete in a rubber duck race on Lake Washington. For just $7 adults can cure their pre-race jitters by sipping on a “Ducky Daiquiri.” This tasty concoction of orange juice, pineapple and three kinds of rum comes complete with your very own rubber duck.

The lucky winner will receive an astonishing $1,000 gift card to BluWater Bistro. Second prize isn’t too shabby either--one year of free car detailing from Final Touch. The third place winner will receive a quacktastic family pack to Ride the Duck. May the best duck win...and for a very good cause.

Saturday, 12 p.m. // BluWater Bistro, 102 Lakeside Ave. Seattle WA 98122 // Tickets: Donations Greatly Appreciated
