ALSO FOR THE MUSIC LOVERS: Northwest Film Forum will be hosting local filmmaker Jennifer Maas' documentary Wheedle's Groove tonight. The film dives deep into Seattle music history, far before the grunge era, to highlight local soul groups from the late 1960s such as Black on White Affair, The Soul Singers and Cold, Bold & Together. Tonight will also feature a Q&A with members of Cookin' Bag, along with Seattle City Councilman Larry Gossett, who will be discussing the music, culture, and history of the Central District and the Seattle Black Power movement during the late 60s and early 70s. Local recording company Light in the Attic Records as well has a compilation album under the same title as the film, which was originally released in the summer of 2004.
