While there's nothing quite like "discovering" your new favorite band, getting to see those artists who have lived on your iPod for years warms a very sentimental part of the heart.

If you're looking to tap into that nostalgic side, then you'll be happy to read about some favorites from yesteryear (and today) who recently announced Seattle dates as part of their fall North American tours.

Scan the following list of the top 5 artists who we’re most excited to see out of the batch of recently announced tours, watch the accompanying video for a musical scroll down memory lane and mark your calendars accordingly.

No matter whom you are most interested in seeing, we recommend getting your tickets soon as quite a few of these acts are likely to sell out. Be sure to check the artists' pages for details on goodies such as pre-sales and additional show info.

That being said, as Stevens' label Asthmatic Kitty Records puts it, "..if you miss the pre-sale tickets don't worry. These are large venues, and after the pre-sale you'll be able to pick up general admission tickets." Plan ahead, if you can, and we'll look for you at a show or two in the fall.

(Seattle’s own) Perfume Genius - September 22 - Crocodile

Deerhunter - October 10 - Showbox

Blitzen Trapper - October 22- Showbox

Sufjan Stevens - October 30- Paramount

Gary Numan - October 31- Neumos
