i can has pizza!

Pizza at Tutta Bella.JPG With 33,000 independent pizzeras across the country, you know there's got to be a magazine like Pizza Today out there (with a blog called TheHotSlice, even). Well, there's a giant 11-page article this week naming the country's best indy: Seattle's own Tutta Bella. (Downside: best chain was Domino's.)

Joe Fugere started Tutta Bella in Columbia City six years ago; it was the first pizza chain in the Northwest to become certified by the exacting Italian association of pizza purists, Vera Pizza Napoletana. To celebrate the award, Fugere says Tutta Bella will give away a free pizza to every table for a week, lunch and dinner, between August 16th and 22nd. Now that you've had your free s'mores, put this one on the calendar.

"I have personally visited Tutta Bella four different times over the years," writes Pizza Today's editor, "and this might well be the perfect pizzeria."

Hey, there's nothing as controversial in laid-back Seattle as pizza, Still, even if it's not your favorite, it's free.
