Get Your 'Required Viewing' at Northwest Film Forum

Once Upon a Time in the West.jpg If you always wanted to attend film school, but for some reason decided to take a bunch of silly math classes instead, you might want to check out the details on the Northwest Film Forum's just-announced Required Viewing series.

The first of the two classes, which starts in September, is called End-of-the-Western, and features an in-depth look at six classics of the genre (including our personal favorite Once Upon a Time in the West). The class also features films from famed directors Howard Hawks, John Ford, Sam Peckinbah and Clint Eastwood.

The second class, which begins in November focuses on only one director, Alfred Hitchcock, and features films from three separate periods of the legendary director's career. These films include The 39 Steps, The Lady Vanishes, Vertigo, North by Northwest, Psycho and The Birds
