Free Lunchtime S'mores Today at Library Bistro & Bookstore Bar
Does someone make a desktop calendar with all these obscure national days? If you had such a calendar, it would proclaim today as National S'mores Day.
To celebrate, Chef Tiffany Layco of the Library Bistro and Bookstore Bar is handing out free homemade s'mores during lunch hour. She'll be in front of the Alexis Hotel at First and Madison, where the bistro/bar is located, from noon to 1 p.m.
The s'mores will be fondue-style, so you can enjoy them on the run as you hustle back to your office. You can also score a coupon for a discount on the Bookstore Bar's decadent s'more dessert, featuring flourless chocolate cake with marshmallows made in-house and dusted with graham cracker crumbs.
