A&E Odds 'n Ends
- Tickets to the first year of the Heineken City Arts Festival, taking place in October, went on sale last weekend. The four day fest will be held in 18 clubs, halls, and venues across the city. Check out the festival website for the artist lineup, more event details and ticket info.
- Death Cab for Cutie’s Ben Gibbard will be playing a benefit show for Seattle non-profit Teen Feed at the Crocodile on Wednesday, November 3rd. Ticket info available here or here.
- Taproot Theatre's brand-new Professional Actor Conservatory for adults will be hosting its first class come September. "Going Deeper with the Basics" will help adults delve into characters and deepen their storytelling skills. Taught by Los Angeles actor and director Marianne Savell, students will learn techniques and skills from a master storyteller.
- Intiman Theatre's Ruined "Farewell Cabaret", taking place on Monday, August 16, will be a celebration of the show's extended run in Seattle. The concert will feature members of Ruined's cast performing their favorite songs. Tickets to the play are still available; check out our review here.
- The 3rd annual Couch Fest Film Festival will be held November 7th in residential homes around Seattle. Each host home participating in Couch Fest Films presents a unique program of short movies that play 12pm-6pm, on the hour. Interested in submitting your short film?
