Star Trek in the Park

If you're looking for an escape from the Seafair festivities, swing by 21st and South Yesler with your T'hy'la for a free performance of the classic Star Trek episode Naked Time.

You know the one where Sulu runs around with a fencing foil, all oiled up? The one where Spock shows that no woman can be his T'hy'la? That's it.

The thespian troupe Hello Earth have uploaded video of last week, but in the spirit of red-shirted ensigns you should just transport yourself right down there and see what happens.

The Saturday showing is strongly recommended. Sunday the Blue Angels will be flying overhead, giving unwanted competition. Arts events are spoiled this way every year. Then again, it could be fun to see if they improv it into the performance somehow.

Saturday, 7:00 - 8:00 p.m., Sunday 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. // Dr. Blanche Lavizzo Park, 2100 S Jackson St. (at the north end by Yesler) // Free
